I dont see anything I want, will you be making more designs?

Yes! I love creating new sets. This is unfortunately not my full time job so I will work on and release new sets when I can. I aim to release 2 - 3 new sets a month at the moment. Hopefully this will increase. 

I have my own idea, will you do a custom set for me?

Absolutely! I love making custom sets. Send me an email naomibarkernails@gmail.com and we can discuss. No obligation to follow through with an order!

I dont want an alternative/gothy design, I want a normal design. Will you do that?

Sure! I design sets to my own aesthetics but if you want something more mainstream I am happy to do a custom order for you! Just email naomibarkernails@gmail.com 

I dont want to wait for a sizing kit, can you size up another way? 

Yes. I can use the picture and coin method but I must stress that this method is a 'best guess' measurement and I can not guarantee the nails will be a perfect fit.

I need these nails ASAP, can you speed up dispatch?

I can but I will have to charge for the express service as I would have to work outside of my normal dedicated hours. Send me an email to naomibarkernails@gmail.com to request.

How long will it take to recieve my order?

I aim to send out sizing kits within 2 business days of an order being placed. Once I have recieved your sizes I aim to send out the nails in 5 - 7 business days. Please note, business days do not include weekends or UK public bank holidays. 

Sizing kits and orders are sent by Royalmail48 (UK orders) and Royal Mail International Standard (International orders) and delivery times will be dependent on these services.

How are the nails packaged?

Sets are packaged in small, square acrylic display cases with either black base or clear base. Orders are posted in bubble envelopes.

Does it come with an adhesion kit? What's in it?

Yes! All orders come with a free adhesion kit. 

UK orders receive: glue dots, liquid glue, alcohol wipes, wooden cuticle pusher, and file.

International orders receive: As above but without liquid glue. This is due to international shipping restrictions. 

I can't decide which nail shape and length I want, can I get a couple of sizing kits to help me decide?

Yes, I am happy to include a second free sizing kit if requested at the time of the order, just send me an email before ordering. If you want more than two sizing kits, send me an email at naomibarkernails@gmail.com, there will be a small charge for additional kits. 

I want to return the nails/ get a refund. 

I'm afraid all orders are final sale and non refundable. Each set is made to order and can not be resold. Each set takes my time to create and are made to your personal sizes. If you have an issue with your order, please send me an email at naomibarkernails@gmail.com and I will try to resolve the issue for you if I can. 

My nails seem scratched on the underside, why?

I pre-prep the nails and remove the shiny surface on the underside to help them adhere to your natural nails. Shiny surfaces mean things pop off easily. It's easier for me, with my tools, than for you to try and do with a file!

I want them to stick for a long as possible, how do I do that?

Prep your nails properly. Use the cuticle pusher to push your cuticles right back and out off the way. Skin is naturally oily and will get in the way of adhesion! Then use the file and, VERY gently, buff the surface of the natural nail. You should be able to feel that one side of the file is slightly smoother than the other. Use the smoother side for this task. Your aim here is to get rid of the shine on your natural nail but not to over buff! You don't want to remove layers of your nail. Now get rid of the dust and use the alcohol wipe to dehydrate the nail by wiping over the nail. You're, again, trying to get rid of oils that will get in the way of adhesion and the alcohol wipe will do that! Now use liquid nail glue to stick! How you do that, whether by putting it on the false nail, on your nail, or both, is up to you but I recommend both for maximum adhesion. Then hold the false nail down on your nail while the glue dries, up to 30 seconds. Voilà!

WARNING: Liquid nail glue is very strong. It is not designed for skin. It can cure very quickly so take care to only get glue on the false nail or nail bed. Keep away from eyes. Try to avoid inhaling fumes or vapour. 

IF IT GETS IN EYES: rinse continuously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present only if it is easy to do. Continue rinsing and seek medical help.

IF ON SKIN: Do not pull. Rinse in warm water for several minutes and apply either nail varnish remover or oil, and pull very gently apart. Stop if there is pain. Massage with vegatable oil to remove glue then rinse with soap and water.

If irritation occurs, cease use immediately.

I want to take my nails off without destroying them, how do I do this?

The best way is to let them come off naturally. If you can't wait for this, try soaking them in hot (not hot enough to burn yourself!) water with plenty of oil mixed in. This takes time. You can encourage the nails to loosen by wiggling them. You can also cover your nails in oil for a while before soaking. 

Many people resort to pulling them off. Please try to resist the temptation to do this. You could damage your natural nails! 

Forward planning is the best way to go. If you're likely to want them off sooner than they would naturally come off, don't be as diligent with your nail prep before application. E.g prep the centre of the nail but not round the edges. Or don't prep your nails at all. If you do this i suggest carrying your nail glue around with you, just in case!

Or use the glue dots. If you prep your nails as described above and make sure the glue dots fit the full nail bed, you will be amazed how well they stick and how strong they are!
